Each serving of Daily Gold Mood Support contains carefully measured amounts of raspberry leaves and chasteberry to provide your horse with an optimal daily dose. Do not feed more than the recommended serving of Daily Gold Mood Support. If your horse needs extra gut support, you can safely add an additional ounce of Daily Gold Powder or 1/2 cup of Pellets to feed.
Absolutely! There are no known side effects to feeding chasteberry and raspberry leaves long-term. You can confidently give your horse Daily Gold Mood Support every day for as long as needed. When your horse no longer requires mood support, simply switch to regular Daily Gold Powder or Pellets to maintain a healthy gut.
Because Daily Gold Mood impacts hormones and uterine tone, we don't recommend feeding it to mares during pregnancy. Raspberry leaf, however, which is included in Daily Gold Mood, may be helpful late in a pregnancy to help with foaling. You should always consult with your veterinarian or equine nutritionist to determine the best answer for your horse. Switch to Daily Gold Powder or Pellets during mare pregnancy for continued gut support.
Though there isn’t one particular reason why horses eat dirt, it is a natural activity in moderation. Horses eat small amounts of dirt daily. If they are seeking it out too often, however, they may be looking for clay. Clays contain very absorbent particles which can buffer acid and bind up toxins, certain bacteria, and other potentially harmful substances in the gut.
